Alpine, 6 disc CD changer missing vocals up front
I recently added a used Alpine 6 disc CD changer model # CHM-S620 to my factory stereo. It seems to work great - discs change, music plays, etc. However, it sounds pretty bad. Vocals only come from the rear, and in some songs some sound is just missing (such as the lead guitar sounds very muted).
It seems like I am missing mids up in the front of the car. Any idea what is going on? Is there some adapter I need? I assume everything was plug and play since the connectors all fit.
The radio sounds fine.

LOL, that was quit the trick to jamb the Alpine 8pin din plug into the Honda 8pin din plug, they are not the same, if you look close you will see the Honda 8pin dins outside pins are arranged in a "U" shape and the Alpine 8pin din plug is more circular and although you can force the Alpine plug into the Honda HU the audio is out of phase, try balancing all the way to the left or right.
The problem is in the Alpine plug the audio signal leads are left and right of the top center pin and the signal returns, [grounds] are both on the top center pin, on the Honda HU, the audio signal leads are on the top center pin and the one to the left and both signal returns are on the pin to the right of the top center pin.
You should still be able to get the Alpine to Honda adapter... http://www.crutchfield.com/S-g...UHONA
