Default Questions....Help

I am looking of some guidance here.....ok, here is the deal....I am looking at getting a 94 EX sedan (stick or course) with 116,000 miles. Both front and rear brakes were replaced within the past 15K, newer tires, and a newer clutch...the timing belt was replaced at 90K, but not the water pump. Is that wierd? Why wouldn't they have replaced both? How much time do I have left on the water pump and how much does it cost to get it fixed? Also, what do you think a fair price is for this car? It is in good condition and located in WI. They are asking $4900...ohh, and the AC does not work (about $500 to fix I am guessing)....any thought would be appreciated.

I have a 99 Integra GS sedan and love it, so I thought I would stay in the family and look this car....I like the lines a lot!

Thanks

$4900 is really cheap for that car even with that amount of miles. Is the body in good shape?

I live on the west side of MKE (Tosa). What side of town are you in? Why are you here for just a few months? Hey, maybe you can help me out.......Unfortunately we are trying to sell our 99 Teg GS sedan, but having bad luck. Where do you think is the best place to list it? Quick notes...38K, blue with gray leather, stick, pw, pl, moon, etc., still under factory warranty. I am asking 14K but would be happy with 13K or anything north of there Thanks for you help.....

I don't really know where I live - I think the North side. Also do you know a good place around here to get some brake work done? I want to get my brake swap done and I'm too busy to do it myself. I'm also not really interested in bleeding all four corners and having to deal with the pressed on rotors.

What are you in town for? (work, fun, etc.). As far as a shop......hmmm..... I have taken my Teg to a small place called American Imports. I think they do a pretty good job, but my experience there is somewhat limited, however, I have been pleased with their work so far (mostly routine stuff as the teg is my wifes). They are located at 4225 North 124th Street in Brookfield. It is about one mile north of Capitol Drive on 124th (near the Home Depot). Their number is 262/783-5020. I have talked to a guy named Tony - seems to be a pretty good guy. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. Later

yeam man I saw that place even stopped ina talked to them. Seems like a good experienced shop that knows what they are doing. However they wouldn't touch the brake upgrade. The don't want to fool with replacing nonstock parts and also didn;t want to use customer supplied parts. From the sounds of it the owner is a really finicky about that kind of stuff.

I'm in town for work (Harley Davidson). But want to find some autocrosses as well some other hsit to do. Just trying to work as much as possible right to pass the time.

Sorry to hear that you did not have any luck at the shop. Actually, my car is in there today getting a 30K tuneup. To be honest, I don't know what else to tell you.....and I don't want to lead you down the wrong path regarding reputable shops. Hey, do you have an email address? Don't want to clutter the board...mine is pnthr30@hotmail.com

Later,

Can you get your hands on a V Rod for me? haha What do you do over at Harley?
