door card removal? dont want to break anything

Default door card removal? dont want to break anything

my passenger door lock gives me a little trouble when trying to lock it from the outside with the key, and my drivers side does also just not as bad


so i wanted to take off the door card to check out whats up, looks like it has clips holding it on i pressume?

There are clips holding it, plus a screw in the inner door handle and in the armrest. If you have manual windows there is the window crank too.

Have you tried some dry graphite first though?

Dry graphite FTW. My civic was doing that when I got it the graphite fixed the problem.

I didn't realize how big of a difference it could make. My friend's lock suddenly froze up and was really stiff to turn. She picked some up and I pushed the key in halfway to open the lock so I could "spray" the graphite into the lock cylinder and then turned the key, inserted it, pulled it out and just messed with it for a minute and after that it was so smooth.

Hmm.. My girlfriend's accord is doing this as well. I was thinking maybe it was her key wearing down. I'll try this out.
