Pressure Plate Interchangeable?
I have an account with my local Honda Dealer, but not Acura. My 2000 Integra Type R will need to have its clutch replaced soon. In order for me to get my discount, I have to get it from a Honda Dealership. I have found all the parts (Disc, Throwout Bearing, and Pilot Bearing) , fit other various Honda models. The part number for the Pressure Plate does not show up in the locator. The part # is not the same as a 99-00 Civic Si, however, when ordering an aftermarket clutch kit, the fitment guide shows all B series VTEC clutch kits are the same.
Is it safe to assume the 99-00 Civic Si Pressure plate is interchangeable with the 00 Integra Type R?

Why not just set up an account with your local acura dealer? all you need to do is send them a copy of your resale certificate and business license.
I work at a dealership myself, but for some reason or another, we dont have an account with Acura. Starting one is not up to me, so I am stuck in this situation.
Judging by the previous post, I can order myself a complete Clutch Kit for a 99-00 Civic Si, so its no longer a situation anymore.
But again, I ask...
Are there any cons to using a non Type R Clutch kit? They both may fit and work, but what are the differences?
