Automatic tranny slips when turning right
A few months ago my girlfriend told me that her tranny sometimes would slip then catch. She has never been able to repeat the problem while I'm in the car for some reason. Well today I borrowed her 96 Accord to buy parts for my civic, and noticed the problem happens when I turn my wheels to the right. It seems to happen if I cut the wheels all the to the right and accelerate (or even 3/4th of the way)
It was a crappy experience today because I was pulling out of a parking lot and I had plenty of time to pull out, but the car started to rev but barely moved.
Could it be the tranny going bad or is it possible that maybe the splines on one of the axels are going bad? I remember when my civic used to be automatic, it would also do the same but it wasn't as sensitive as hers.

sounds like the fluid is low, and the little bit of reserve in the pan is sloshing away formt he pickup, check for leaks, or just check the tranny fluid level as well, this is the first step in any auto trans diag after a test drive
I would check the fluid level first. Note the condition of it, color, smell, if its rough, etc.
If the fluid level is good, try a stall test. This post should help you out to an extent, read toward the end of the first two posts.
There are a couple of tests in there that you can perform, let me know what happens.

Thanks. I'll try it out tomorow morning. I changed the fluid when we got it 10 months ago but I have noticed or it seems that there is oil around the tranny (red)
I used a new crush washer but ehh, Ill check it out.
Thank you once again!
