Default matte finish out of original clearcoat ?? omglolwtf help.

1st off my buddy owns Automations Custom Paint and we willl get around to actually painting the car one day and it will be a matte black finish. but..

Ok so I let people write on my car with paint markers. It started out just on the quarterpanel which is ruined anyway, but then moved to the whole car. I thought it was cool for a few minutes until my buzz wore off. I decided to go at it with some lacquer thinner, and this got most of the marker off, but you can still see the writng and it leaves a haze on the paint. I knew it would do this, and so I decided I would give the car a matte look. So I took a scuff pad over it. and it seems to be the right finish I want. My question, is there any I can make it better, ie. put wax on it, buff, etc. ??

IT STARTED OUT LIKE THIS

NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THIS

if you buff it out you have a bigger chance just making it glossy again. but then again anything you do aside from a re-spray or adding more paint over it is going to probably wear the paint you have down to primer in some spots.

you should have asked how to get it off without doing too much damage to the paint. but were kind of past that.
