mini me swap-vtec problems
hey im new to this place and i was wounderin if some one could give me some addvice i baught a 91 with a sohc zc swap so i converted it to obd1 and put a z6 head on it im throwin 2 codes i looked them up and one was from not havin a 4 wire 02 sensor and the other one was from a bad egr valve but im under the impresion that i dont have one since im throwin those codes my v tech wont work any ideas

vtec will not engage with those codes running.

VTEC doesn't care about 4 wire O2 sensors, or EGR valves. Coolant temp, RPM, VSS, TPS, VTS, VTP, MAP is what the VTEC code looks for.

i had the p28 in it and it was kickin a rev limiter in at 6000 so i switched it with my buddies and it took the limiter away but the v tec still didnt work so i have a p06 in it right now obveously vtec isnt there so would it be better to get a good p28 or should i get an rpm activated switch from jcwhitney and run it that way
How about you back up a good bit and tell us more details about your car, and a timeline of what's been done recently + when exactly you started having problems.
