knocking cusco coilovers
ok guys, im hoping someone on here knows enough about gas coilovers that they can help me solve the knocking noise from my front suspension.
ive bought a second hand set of cusco gas coilovers, they are prety low milage and in good condition, i instaled them today then went for a quick drive to see how they were, i notice knocking noise coming from the front pair when i went over harsh bumps but not over smooth bumps if that makes sence.
a couple of issues with them, they have been lying on there side for about 2 months, and the front springs have 1 coil choped from the top.
called a couple peeps i know and they were saying, it could be the top mounts that are no good and does it when they come under alot of presure or cos the spring isent siting in well at the front is causeing to maybe jump around.
im going to be changing the springs anyway when i have some money, but was wondering you your veiws are on this.
thanks

is the coilover full tap?? if it isnt, it could be that you lowered the car from the spring perch which when you go over the speed bump the shock reaches full height but the spring is just freely moving around and when the shock goes back down the spring is not in place the spring shoots itself back in place causing that noise.
