Default 06 accord wont rev above 3 rpms

I just installed a k&n intake kit on my 06 accord and all of the sudden it wont rev above 3 rpms it idles fine and runs great until you hit 3 rpm the its acting like its got a governor on it

the kit didnt have the hook up for the air temp sensor so at the moment its disconected could that be the problem

Any ideas would be apreciated

You mean you left the MAF sensor off?

x2. No MAF on the 06 will make the fuel cut go into effect. That's the feeling you're having.

I mean seriously. Your car is fine , has no driveability problems. Then you halfass install a cold air intake and leave a sensor unplugged. Now it runs like ****. 2+2=4.

Yes. I also recommend that you return the car to stock and leave it alone.

I guess thats why when your searching for an intake there is an option with MAF or with out MAF. maybe check before you buy. I have no clue what mine is. Why would honda do such a thing? so I assume the cars that dont have MAFs have map sensors?

So, the engineers at Honda have no clue what they are doing and it's people like k/n that come along to "show them how it's done". ?????? Maybe, but it looks like most cases cost the consumer more money than it's worth.
