Default ANOTHER idle problem

I did search and looked at all the idle problems on here and nothing seems like my idle problem.
First offf its a 1996 Prelude Si Automatic.
The idle problem only hapens at certain times i will start up the car and majority of the time my idle is really high (around 2,500 or more) and its really annoying when im reversing because it goes really fast out of my drive way and then i put it into drive the idle is still really high and it goes and it seems like once it gets into second gear the idle is normal but sometimes when its normal and i go to a full stop it jumps up and the car shoots out a couple feet (very dangerouse when cars are driving past me when im pulling out of somewhere and almost hit me cause it jumps out). And it was annoying me one time when i was at a red light so i put the car in neutal and the idle drops down so much it sounds like its going to die and then the whole car shakes and it jumps up to about 2,500 then drops and repeats it over and over again until i put it into drive again, where it stays around 2,500.

i asked someone about it and they said it might be the fuel filter but i figured i would ask here first before i go spending money

Thanks in advance
Elliot

read this:

I would guess the IACV. Also, if the car goes too fast in reverse, use the pedal on the left.

Are you sure that the Throttal cabel isnt too tight.

And if its jerking forward, I imagine its an auto tranny you have, and its snapping into gear.

Not a good sign
