Default 98 Civic EX Car PROBLEM NEED advice!!!

My civic's battery gets drained every morning so I am unable to start the car. So I bought a new battery and that seemed to fixed the problem then two weeks later the problem came back. I got to replace the battery AGAIN and then two weeks later the problem came back again! Then I got to replace the starter but that didnt fixed the problem. I am thinking it might be the alternator? or can it be something else? the car has a viper alarm and a sound system would that be the cause of the battery being drained?

you should have got a warranty on the battery so you didnt have to keep buying it

why the [freak] are you replacing stuff that you dont know is faulty. please take my advice and dont throw parts at the car. do some tests becasue is sounds like the alt., you can check the batt voltage when the car is off and on and do asimple test of taking the neg. cable off the battery and seing if it dies out. i would first look into the alternator because its not your battery unless your using thge wrong battery. try charging the battery and see if it starts up good.

My friend replaced the starter for free because he had an extra part. And I got the battery replaced by the warranty also. I did the neg battery check and the car was able to run for at least 15 min. So, I am thinking that it could be the alternator. But if not I wonder if you guys had another suggestion.

sometimes if I come home at night and then 9 hrs later the next morning the car wont start. But if I turn on the car after 4 hrs it would struggle to turn on. Maybe the alternator would be acting up.

You can disconnect your positive cable and still have a bad alt. Just because the car doesn't shut off doesn't mean its cranking out the required 14 or so volts it needs to maintain the car and battery.

Besides you can blow fuses, fry the ecu and cause a bunch of other problems by doing this.

Just take it to kragen, autozone etc and they'll check it for you.
