Thanks for taking the time to read and help me with my post.
My clutch was on the brink of breaking and I knew I just needed one slip up and it would be over. So, with that being said I went out and bought a new clutch so I can finally change it.
The day before I changed it I wanted to try to push it to redline and shift to second and see if it would break right there b/c I always thought if I did this it would really end my clutch, and sure enough it did.
Now, when I did this you heard the clutch slip when I went to second so i let off and put it to third and so on. I knew it was def cooked now. But when i switched to third my pedal seemed really weird almost like I lost pressure. I pulled over and started back in first to go back home and clutch was def cooked and the pedal felt really wierd.
The pedal felt really loose up top and the engage point was as soon as I let off the clutch. And the pressure to push down was def not the same as before i pulled this stunt.
Got home and tried to bleed it with a friend to see if it would solve the pressure problem, but it didn't. Also, when I was bleeding the clutch the pedal would not return back on its original position, it would get stuck on the floorboard and I would have to pull it back up. But when I pulled it up, the pressure was still the same before, very light and not right. And we tried multiple times.
Went ahead and changed my clutch, got done and started bleeding, same thing happened as before I changed my clutch.
So with that being said does anybody have any help or have experienced this problem before.
Im guessing it is either the slave or master. I havn't checked for any leaks yet but I will prob today. But if anybody has any other advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the long post, but thank you.
John

Pop the hood and take a look at your clutch fluid level. I bet it's empty. If it is, get some dot 3 brake fluid and put some in the clutch reservoir and pump your clutch pedal till the fluid level goes away and put some more in and pump the clutch more. Do that until the level is around mid height in the reservoir and it should work for a little longer.
if one of them are leaking and neither the slave or master have been changed in awhile i would go ahead and replace both.
a lot of the time the master is leaking under where the clutch pedal is..
thats the first place i always check.

do Not replace anything until u see fluid leak, have someone press the pedal and U check for the slave cylinder to see if it move, check the level on the bottle, under the bottle is the master cylinder, if it leak, u're see it. Check under in dash, above the pedal for fluid leak.

It's def filled with fluid. I bled it multiple times so I was always aware of the level.
