slight scratches in cyl walls, ok to reuse block or no?
i got a spare block im refreshing. after the hone i see there is some scratches in the cyl walls. not too bad but i can feel them with my finger, without reboring it i dunno if i can re use it? how bad do they have to be to cause smoking problems?

usually if there is scores that you can feel with your finger after already being honed, you cant use it unless your bore it...i wouldnt take the chance

i dunno. i chanced it , its only a spare stock block rebuild.. the machine shop said as long as they dont go all the way from top to bottom it should be ok.. i honed it decently so there is only one cyl with a semi deep one.. its not too bad but i can catch my nail on it if i try.. its like 1.5" long so i dont think it should hurt it. .
