Default Wouldnt Stop overheating

I've got an EG with a B18c1 swap, p30 pistons, BC4 cams and head package, Top Fuel header, Blow Intake manifold, Hondata S300.

Before the build my car would drive around fine but once i get on it and put the car through it's paces the temp needle wouldnt rise btu the check light would go on and when i connect my laptop i would get 11 Engine Overheating, I would check the ECT in the hondata and it would read anywhere from 186-224 F. and yet my needle wouldnt rise.

I have changed headgaskets many times, water pump, both radiator hoses, radiator cap, and the radiator is Dual core.

Now i have rebuilt my motor about 2-3 weeks ago and was late for work this morning and drove a bit spirited. when i got about 3 mins from work Check light came on. connected my laptop and what did i see 11 Engine overheating. checked the ECT and it was all the way up at 224F.

I have never relaced my by pass hoses, but i dont hear them hissing, nor do i hear the Coolant bubbling. I just want an idea at why my car would be overheating so much.

Suggestions please!!!!!!

I'd suggest pressure testing the cooling system, and double-checking the operation of your gauge. If you have a programmable ecu through hondata, just change the parameters for the ect. 180-225 is the normal operating range for any modern engine.

If you didn't bleed the system, there is probably an air pocket in the head, causing the overheating.

If you didn't replace your thermostat, replace it.

Are you using a block guard?

What coolant mix are you running, it better be 50/50 ethylene glycol (GREEN!!!)

Feel the lower and upper hose when it gets hot. If the hoses are soft, replace the radiator cap. The hose should be firm, indicating pressure. Lack of pressure will make the coolant boil over, creating steam pockets in the head and block, causing the same problem. There should be no reason why your coolant temp should be over 200F. The factory thermostat opens at 185, and the engine temp should hang around that once it completely warms up.

If all this proves to be fruitless, test the coolant sensor in a controlled environment. Find a test chart in the service manual and check the resistance at varying temperatures based on the chart to determine if the sensor itself is good.

Please answer all of these questions so we can help you.
