chiped crank pulley

Default chiped crank pulley

i just noticed a little peice of the outer lip of the crank pulley is broken off. is that bad?

How small of a piece? like the size of a piece of rice (pun intended ) ? if its that small I wouldnt really worry about it but get into a bigger chunk and it could throw off the balance but how you describe it as a small chip probably would be fine....If there is a belt that rides there just check out the belt and make sure it isnt getting chewed up.

its not big but is bigger then a peice of rice theres no belt on it i only got one belt for the alt. ill try and get a pic.

i had a peice broken off after trying to break loose the pulley bolt. i dont think it was a big deal.

do you know is it a recent chip? maybe you are hitting the radius rod or something. i'd look at the cause to make sure this isn't a future problem
