Well the engine i got for my f4i had a real bad cct rattle. At idle and everywhere else it rattled like crazy. So I bought a APE cct. I installed it per the instructions on cbrworld.net by measuring the wear mark on the stock cct and yatta yatta so the APE is the exact same length as where the stocker was. I did that, installed it and it was quiet as all hell. Tightened the locknut, started it back up and it was still quiet...let it run at idle to get to operating temp and shut it off. I started it up a few times again to do little things here and there but still have never rode the bike yet.
Well I started it again the other day and it rattles again now?
Not even close to what it did before, but it def does rattle at idle. Nothing backed out and nothing came loose. Should I just tighten it up a hair or what?

I wouldn't tighten it more than you already have just yet. If the CCT noise is significantly reduced and everything is torqued properly, I'd say let the new CCT settle a bit. With the heating and cooling of the motor over a period of time, you may need to adjust it once more make sure it's in properly. Did you ask about this on CBRWorld.net? More people over there would likely have done the APE CCT swap.
