Does it have a layer/ring of rubber around the edges? I'm guessing it does, but just want to confirm. When I took the cap off, this black rubber came out with it, and there's no rubber on the seal now at all. Just one plastic piece. Just want to make sure I need to order another one.

 

Yes, there should be a little rubber lip that holds the grease/oil.
