I've been able to get oem parts from Carquest at a lower price than the dealer. But i know the guy that works there so i don't know if he is just hooking me up. But its worth a try to go and ask how much they sell them for.

oem should be your first bet for timing belts, radiator hoses, and seals. The only other place i would recommend would be carquest. I don't buy them anywhere else.

I bought a water pump and timing belt for my D16A6 from Autozone cheaper and everything was just fine after about 80k miles till I pulled the motor out.

There will be plenty of people that will say OEM only I on the other hand dont believe in all the hype of JUST OEM I mean in all reality Honda is having someone make them for them just like anyone else sure its to THEIR specs but that is why there are tests and such and the whole meets or exceeds oem specs if places like Autozone were selling crappy belts (water pump had a lifetime warranty) and they kept snapping and wrecking peoples heads I dont think they would be selling them anymore and Goodyear (the maker of the timing belt) wouldnt either or have recalls or be sued or whatever.

I mean in all reality who out there can honestly say that they use ALL OEM??

true that. i was only talking about belts, hoses, and seals. I've used autozone water pumps and they are fine. But I've seen that autozone's hoses and belts don't last as long as the carquest ones.

I've once got a thermostat from auto zone and that thing would bearly open. My car would almost over heat everytime and they said it was better than OEM. I went to honda a little while ago and got an OEM one and it was way better crafted and the opening on it was bigger as well and I haven't had a problem since.
