okay I have a B20with a gsr head. It used to have a p30 but i have a p72 and I want to run the p72 because it has a zip tie for the chip so it would have less wear on the chip. If I have the p30 in it I get no check engine lights but on a cold start it dies if you dont have the throttle open a little bit. I was told that is because I have skunk2 stage 3 cams. After it warms up it is fine. It seems like their is no fast idle cycle.

The p72 starts even if you dont have the throttle opened a little bit but I'm getting a code for electronic air and O2 sensor. I'm going to pull and clean the iacv and see if that helps. Any input is welcome.

Both ecus are obd1.

 

if your running an b20 vtec you should get your car tuned.
