Default help....

hay guys new to site have couple questions, i have a odb1 gsr swap and my idle is messed up, when going into neutral the rpms will stay at 2k until i stop then bogs down and almost dies, weird thing is that if i stick my foot behind gas peddle andl ift up my idle comes up to 750 and stays there, i have already cleaned the iav and throttle body, question is i have a obd2 p72 and if i use that ecu my idle is perfect and not rough, my obd1 ecu is p28 on chrome, im wondering if it wod be fine to use the obd2 ecu on obd1 swap? any insight would be appretiate....
