Default DIY: 06+ FG2 P2R Rear Lower Tie Bar

:woowoo: For sean over at P2R --great cust service and extremly fast shipping

Here is the P2R Lower Rear Tie Bar now offered by Power Rev Racing...

Parts Needed:
14mm ratchet
2 jackstands
bout 20 minutes of time

I used 2 jack stands for this job. One I used to jack up one side of the car as you would to change your tire. The other i put right underneath each bolt that I was taking out on the control arm to supoort it up..
In the first pic you can see where i located the jack and began to remove the left side 14mm bolt. I suggest doing it one side at a time...

--------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a better pic of the jack holding the control arm in place. Also Now you can see the left side is installed. Make sure you dont tighten all the way and you need to move it for the other side...

Now just do the same exact thing on the other side. Jack it up and place other jack under control arm for support. Remove bolt and place P2R tie bar in place and add bolt. Tighten.

here are a few pics of this sweet a$$ part installed!!

you're still using a space-saver jack from your trunk to hold the car up in the 6th picture. Not safe. You should buy a real floor jack

the bar looks good though

P2R Rear Lower Tie bar will help reduce chassis flex, and provide your car with better cornering ability.

actually our cars have that piece built in. the lower tie bars are really meant for older cars where there was nothing holding them together. you can see in your pics, your overlapping whats already there. it looks good though, and nice write up for a noob.

What's the big deal? It's an affordable, simple upgrade that he could complete himself in a matter of minutes rather than hours. What harm is there in that?

that's what I'm saying

not everyone has money to buy every mod they want all at once.
