Well I took my car to the dyno yesterday and it was a complete let down. I knew it wasn't gonna make power before I took it there I just didn't want to believe that.
Its an all motor jdm h22 with:
blox b cams
camp1320 header
68 mm tb
port matched plenum
ngk wires and plugs
and other misc.
thats worthy of about at least 225whp wouldn't you agree
I made 188whp and 130ftlb!
Could someone please tell me what could be wrong here, I would appreciate it greatly

What kind of dyno? Numbers were corrected? I dont see why everyone crys when there cars numbers arent high. Every dyno reads different and some are low. Take it to the track and see what it traps

The parts that I "threw" at the motor make power. They were professionally installed and should be making power well over that. If nobody in here agrees with this statement then let me stop wasting my time.
Theres no need to go get traps and all that giberish when I can't even brake second gear on street tires. A stock h22 could whoop my *** right now.
theres definately something wrong like cam timing or intake or valves.
As for the guy that posted above with a $13,000 b18 thats not making **** for power, please just stop while you're ahead.

218 NA hp is damn good so i dont know what your deal is...im just letting you know that there is no way that your anywhere near 225 with a fairly stock h22...granted it sounds like it needs a tune but you would be lucky to see 190whp....im was also just letting you know that it took me about 3 years and a lot of money to make that kind of power so just dont get your hopes up..not tryin to dog on ya bro dont take offense its just the truth

one of the guys thats works there has the same car and motor except his is stock with i/h/e and is making more power than me. It made that power after a quick street tune and then put on the dyno to see what it made.
They played with my motor for over 2 hours and I only put down 188 and 130
. Come on now 130ftlb this is a h series not a b series

you may be over cammed.... what adjustments did they make to the timing? do you know if its advanced any? the only reason i think its over cammed is because like you said, they were messin with it for a long time and it still wasnt puttin up descent numbers so a/f and timing should be outta the picture

i have to agree with the cam too aggressive stock comp should only have a stage 1. or you could have an issue with the engine some where else.

It was tuned on crome. I didn't request any "centers" bc I was trying to let them do their job... they should know better than me.
the valvetrain was definately upgraded.
The numbers are making me angry bc I've seen similar setups make awsome power on stock compression.

Not enough compression for a large cam. My buddy has this same situation going on with his B16. 68mm throttlebody is useless since your using a stock intake manifold. You are not gonna make unbelievable power on your stock compression. You don't really mention too much else, about your exhaust flow. Camp1320 header, not sure about those, haven't seen one personally. Dynos might read low, but if someone else puts a car on there with just the bolt ons and makes more power then, something is wrong. Maybe you should do a compression and leakdown test.Your torque seems a little low as well.

[B]i think 188 and 130 is dissapointing.... especially on the torque... i have a jdm h22 in a cb7 accord and i dynoed at 210whp and 170wtq..... and my motor is basically stock.... here are my specs... jdm h22, 70 mil. throttle body. port matched plenum. no ac no ps. unorthodox alt. pulley. intake. dc header. straight pipe exhaust wit greddy evo2 muffler.and hondata s100.... and my header is pinched together so bad its not even funny and my exhaust has 5 restrictions and over welds.... there has to be something wrong with your motor or maybe you just need a better tune... you have everything i have except hondata and you have better cams...

You are supposed to show up at the tuners with something close. You did not. A tuner can maybe get you 10 WHP not 50. If you do not know where the cams are, how can the dyno guy? Unless he (tuner) built it, you need to start over. A tuner cannot fix all your mistakes.

You're right, tuners can't pull numbers out of their ***, but they shouldn't be "detuning" it, and getting numbers that much worse than stock [relatively]. And tuners should have an idea where it's losing power.
1. Complete a compression & leak down test, if all looks good proceed to step 2.
2. Get some camgears & have your cams degreed in.
3. Take the car to an EXPERIENCED honda/acura tuner.
4. Hope for the best :-)
Your numbers are low, however you did not mention what kind of dyno the car was tuned on.

I got the computer from yall and the tuner said the basemap was way off and had to run a completely different map. The first run with yall's basemap made 150 and no tourqe. Its still not making near what it should after he was done.
The tuner I took it to said that most of their business was honda so I don't know.
It was dynoed on a superflow but was calibrated to the dynojet down the road if that means anything. Numbers don't even really matter right now because the car is weak. I have a stock clutch right now but I should still be able to break second gear at least. The tourqe has dissappeared

something has to be wrong with the timing on the cams.. I have a stock h22 with 65mm throttle body, 1320 headers and the euro R manifold and I made 218whp and 167tq.. try to get some adjustable cam gears and degree the cams and see what it does
