I was thinking of getting a new fuel filter and pump. I was wondering is it safe or even possible to use the obx fuel filter for a stock setup. I have a d15b vtec and p28 ecu.

 

Why would you want that when you can get OEM?

 

Well, I just think it looks better than the stock one I suppose. I was just wondering if it is safe to use an inline filter instead of stock, and besides it looking different does it help performance? Thats all I was really wondering. Nothing wrong with the oem one, thats probably what Ill do. My civic hatch is an 88 and I don't think the fuel filter has ever been changed, so I think its time.

 

Just stick with the stock one its plenty for your motor even boosted it would be fine. But if it hasnt been changed in awhile I would defiantely change it probably drown the bolts with some WD40 or PB Blaster for awhile as well as they can be quite the PITA....
