just did a swap and when i turn the key the starter just clicks. but when i jump the starter with a screw driver it turns the motor over. i am getting power to the wire off the engine harness when i turn the key. any ideas? it was working before on my old motor the only thing different is the engine harness and of course the motor and starter.

 

i got the same problem still to this day sometimes it fires up fine then other times just a click and i gotta push start it or jump it like u dont know what it is but id like to know also lol...

 

last time i had the problem it was the ignition switch but this time im getting power to the starter but just a click. i guess ill go clean all the conections see if that helps.
