Will an '06 - '08 Civic Si transmission bolt up and function properly in an '05 RSX Type S?

I would like LSD and I found a few '06 and up civic Si transmissions around, so i wondered if this is as straight forward as i think it would be into my '05 RSX S? Thanks!

I just want to completely swap the whole transmission to an '06 to '08, not just the LSD. Any idea based on that?

The 06'+ Si tranny will not bolt up. The casing has different mounts and bolt pattern. It will not bolt up at all. You may be able to swap the gears from the Si tranny to the type-s Tranny though

Ok so I guess I am looking at installing an LSD, or finding a JDM DC5 type R trans correct?
Your talking about swapping the whole transmission correct?
A certain K20A forum has a pretty good write up on this. It's in the transmission section.
Depending on the year you will have to sort out some issues with the VSS and the shift linkage. But I think because you have an '05 you should be good.
