RSX tranny in a 02 Civic Si ???
Since my tranny Blewout in my 02 Si (5 speed) and a guy has a Rsx ( 6speed) tranny and what im wondering is if i can switch linkages ?
i just dont want to buy a 1200 dollar transmission and have the linkage going in my console and not in my dash ...
if anyone knows Please Reply i really need this info so i can get my car fixed

They can be swapped, yes. You won't be able to use the reverse lockout solenoid on the 6-speed (which prevents you from shifting into reverse while moving), but I've been told that it's nearly impossible to do that misshift anyway.
The good thing is that the A3 engine isn't as peaky as the Type-S's A2, so there's not as much of a high-rpm-only powerband to worry about. But, you'll be shifting more often and at lower speeds.
What year of Type-S is this tranny from? The newer 05-06 ones have the same final drive as the EP, while the 02-04's have a slightly taller FD. Both versions' 6th gears are the same as our EP's 5th, too.

I figured all K stuff could be interchanged

Yup, your linkage will bolt up.
There's a more detailed writeup in the tech section on K-Series.com, too. They also note where you'd need to grind a small part of the shifter assembly to allow the lever to move to 6th gear.
