Hone, Bore, or Act like its not there. (Pics)
Motor sat out for a month or two. Got a bit of rust on my cylinder walls. I have already tried PB and WD40 with a rag and got a little off but not much.

So I have 3 options
1. Hone
2. Bore
3. Act like its not there.
WWHTD?

more than likely you are going to have to get it bored. that isnt just surface rust it is in the metal and hone will only shave the top of it off. still try the hone first but plan on the bore.
..and thats why you should always oil and bag all internal engine parts if your not going to immediately install them.
Proper way-it needs a cut to the cylinder walls so bore is my answer. Those look like some decent rust pits
Ghetto way-Run a ball brush and some PB and hope for the best.
Next time don't leave that shortblock out in the elements.

you might want to look at everything if you have rust like that, plus it looks like you have water just sitting in there i would make sure you have all of that outa there so you dont [freak] your **** up any more than it is now....why would you just leave it setting out like that?
