I would like to build a Engine. Not really sure where to start and what i need. I have 2 B ser blocks. One is an LS and the other is a B16.

I would like to build an all motor for now. The motor would be going into a 95 EG hatch.

Im kinda new and need some help on what i would need to build a good motor. name brands on the parts and about the price for the parts.

how much are you looking at spending.. just look at other people's setups and take the best of the best or if your going budget then take the ls block and crank and put the b16 rods (and rod bolts) in it and buy a set of ITR pistons and throw a vtec head on it.. it should be around 175ish whp

 

I really not looking at a budget right now. Im just gonna do a little at a time for now. I will probably start off buy using the LS block and taking it to a machine shop. But what to bore it out to? not sure. Then I will probably take the B16 head and get it tested.

But as for all the internals what you use and what i need is my main Question? I want it to be reliable.

 

or would it be better to build my B16?
