smoking problems?

Default smoking problems?

motor smokes a lot it burns oil going down hill in gear, then I push the pedal then it dumps smoke out of my exhaust but it doesnt seem i lost any power, any suggestions?

Rings. Does it smoke too while decelerating? This is how my old motor was.

But to know for sure, you will need to do a leakdown test.

ya it does after hitting the gas, but i put it in neutral when decelarating so it doesnt put out smoke.

Yeah, sounds like he described exactly valve seals. The oil builds up under the vacuum of decel getting sucked in from the valve seals, and then burns off when he hits the gas.

it could be valve seals or rings, my old c5 burnt oil like that and i replaced the valve seals only to find out the oil control rings were messed up, which meant i still had good compression just burned alot of oil

My exact situation. I just check the oil level, <U>ALOT</U>
