noise in tranny after clutch install...help.

The noise you are talking about, does it occur only when the clutch is pressed all the way to the floor?

no, it only happened for about the first minute after I started the car up while the car was in neutral with the clutch out. After that first minute it went away and hasn't come back.

Mine did the same thing. It was the disk seating to the flywheel and pressure plate. Unless the clutch starts doing something st00pid or the noise comes back don't worry about it.


Funny thing - my clutch did the EXACT same thing as yours. One of my retainers overheated and cracked but the spring stayed in place.
