2.5 or 3 Ton Jack for Integra?
Either is fine since the Integra weighs less than 1.5 tons total. Just pay attention to their minimum heights. Usually the heavier-duty jacks and jackstands are taller, and especially in the case of the jack, may not fit under a lowered car.

yea he's right, but i prefer the 3 ton one cause the 2.5 dont raise the car high enough sometimes, depending on what your doing. the 3 ton ones lift the cars higher. more space is good!
True. I should point out though that if you are planning on buying a small portable jack like those Sears ones (in other words, not the big huge garage floor jacks), then it won't be able to lift the car nearly high enough to cause the jack stands to reach their limits.

the cheap ones dont come even close to getting under my car, i ended up buying a heavy duty jack becuase you can remove the plate and its the only ones that get under my car, they run $100 +
Hmm I guess I'll share my experience and you can decide which jack you want to get... my car is lowered w/ Koni Yellows and Eibach sportlines.. the rear is no problem to jack up w/ either the 2.5 ton or 3+ ton jack.. the front however is a diff story..
I bought a 2.5 ton jack a few years ago (over 5) when I started working on my car and well I was a student so the price point of the cheaper 2.5 ton jacks sold me cuz I was still in college n din have as much disposable income to spend on things here and there... while it worked fine.. the problems I have w/ it are 1) it doesn't lift high enough/as high as the 3.5 ton I have now... 2) to get it to go under the front/center jacking point.. I'd have to use the stock/temporary jack to raise up the side of the car in order to slip the 2.5 ton jack under my LOWERED car.. on a stock height car you might not have any clearance issues....
now that I have both the 2.5 ton and 3.5 ton SUV jack.. I pretty much NEVER use the 2.5 ton... the 3.5 ton SUV jack that I have has higher lift, higher capacity, is thicker, wider, lower, and has a higher capacity/safety margin.. I feel safer w/ it because its wider, larger and seems more stable... I also have 3 ton jack stands which are much larger than the 2 ton jack stands I bought back in college.. you can guess which ones I use most of the time... although my car doesn't weigh 3 tons.. I feel safer w/ the larger capacity jack and jack stands because it has larger base, higher capacity.. so there a larger safety margin....
IMO the larger capacity jacks are definately worth the extra money for easy of use, lower profile, weight capacity/safety, and also the higher lift... I pretty much only use the 2.5 ton as a back up, to let friends borrow, etc...

I've used a 3 ton jack and I doesn't fit on the side or the front jack points. I have to use the aux jack that came with the car to lift it up a bit to fit the 3 ton jack underneath.
I think I'll go with the 3 ton jack. Thanks for the replies.

I have a 2.5 ton jack right now, but will probably be getting another 3 or 3.5 ton jack soon as the 2.5 doesnt really lift quite as high as I would like, so I will have both to use depending on the situation, enjoy
