Default Steering Wheel Control Question

I'm looking to drop a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 into my 2007 SI, and I'm wondering...is there any way to retain the functions of the steering wheel controls or will they be useless...just wondering if there is an aftermarket unit that utilizes these controls.

Sure does. A little follow up on unit recommendation. The Pioneer AVIC-Z2? Good unit I can get BNIB on eBay for $850 shipped.

Another follow-up question. Where would you recommend me buying a double DIN console piece for my Si? I see a few online that include the brackets, but just wanna make sure that I get one that doesn't have a different color. Anybody buy off eBay? I'm going with the AVIC-Z2, so some advice on this topic would be nice.

They make an after market interface harness so you can use your steering wheel controls. I installed an aftermarket Eclipe DVD/NAV system and have all my steering wheel controls. I picked up the interface harness at Fry's Electronics. It costs about $80.00.
