Yes, there are laws. Thats why he gave you a ticket
It should only be a fix-it ticket. Pop in some regular bulbs and have another cop sign it off and just pay whatever the fee is, $10 here in California.
And did you REALLY need to make three postings??

4300K HID (inside true HID projectors) or none at all. Anything else is pure rice.</TD></TR></TABLE>
x2 you wouldn't have gotten a ticket if they were properly done. Bright purple light is a bad decision, and in a halogen H4 housing you're gonna get nothing but horrible light output and glare. They did you a favor, you're probably blinding oncoming drivers with your purple drank lights.

6 retros in 3 differant cars, never even been asked about the headlights in 5 years. No civic, legacy wagon, or frontier ever had HIDs stock. PNP sucks, stop blinding me.

LOL you're hilarious!
Pink or purple, either way, it's shitty light. Above 4300k you're sacrificing light output for color, you just look like a ricer with no concept of what HIDs really do. That color comes from projectors, not from weird color bulb options. You got a ticket because your headlights were probably glaring and obviously not white light, which is the legal light for headlights. Projector HIDs, even though they have different colors at different angles due to the optics, still produce white light, which is why they're legal. Any color other than white, and in some cases, yellow, is illegal for a headlight beam.
And TURN signals need to be amber. A flashing white light is not a legal color for a turn signal, front signals can only be AMBER. Be lucky he wasn't a REAL dick, he could have given you a hard time saying you were impersonating an officer or some **** by having illegal-colored, forward facing, flashing lights.
Sounds like you got ricer HID bulbs and then switched out to clear corners and didn't bother switching the bulbs.

your real cool dude
first of all i do have amber corners in the front
not clear corners with no ambers.
my rear blinkers are white because of my 50,,50 tails .
and 2nd im sacraficing light ooutput for color yea i am because the lights look pretty sick in my opinion.
i dont really care

So I was right, you switched out your taillights from stock amber colored ones and you didn't bother getting amber colored bulbs. Still illegal. Turn signals in the rear, must be, by law, amber or red. White is not an acceptable color for a flashing light.
Your lights may have a pretty 'sick' color, but you're not getting the color from the projectors, you're just putting some ricey bulbs in there.
I was down at the euro meet last night with my OEM equipped HID projector car and some little ricer in an EK floated through our lot with an HID kit. We were all blinded as he drove by us, several of us, including me, commented on it, and as he left, he faced a wall, and you could see a horrible pattern of glare literally 15 feet on the sides of the car and 20 feet up the wall.
What a total waste of light output. Hotspots of light at the bottom, and a bunch of blinding, unnecessary glare all over the place, just waiting to distract and blind people driving at night.
H4 housings are GARBAGE for HID output. Some casper shields may work, but it's a ghetto solution for a real retrofit.
You don't really care, but that's because you're realizing you paid $150 bucks or some **** for some crappy bulbs and now you're getting in trouble for it.
No one who really knows anything about cars thinks your giant globs of purple light are cool, I bet they're all clowning as you go by.
Your opinion only goes so far, it's only cool until you start infringing on the rights of others, IE blinding other drivers and creating a distraction.
This is the consequence of cheaping out. Why do you think a retro costs at least $500 bucks and you can get a kit for around $100?
And thanks for noticing, I AM really cool

I got all the stuff to do my next retrofit for $120. But then again I am awesome.
I payed $100 for a nice set of Mitsushita Gen III ballasts, and I won an EBay auction for a lot of 7 projectors and 5 D2S and D2R bulbs for like $60ish. So if you look around for retrofit stuff, the assumption that HID kits are cheaper is not always the case. It only comes down to having the knowledge and ability to preform a retrofit.

dude keep talkin shyt
but you have never seen my lights so idk why you are making all these assumptions.
they dont blare out 20 feet to the sides or up walls or anything.
they are low key with a pink tint.
call me rice or what ever you want but once you see somethin then make a judgment.

OK i've seen HID kits in EKs and EG's a thousand times, I'm not going ot be surprised, but if you thinking i'm passing unfair judgment, feel free to post up pics, especially on a wall with at least 25 feet of distance between you and the wall.
