92-95 ex coupe (ej1) vtec wire color question -


long story short when I purchased my car it was a shell - swap I got didn't have the harness (b16) so I got an LS harness and used it. Well no vtec blows

so I can ensure my wires get pinned out correctly was curious if anyone could tell me the color of the wire (at the shock tower firewall side) for the vtec wires solenoid, oil pressure or whatever.

I tried to search before but couldn't find a definite - pretty sure orange w/ white stripe was vtec solenoid and the one next to it was the constant for oil pressure or whatever but not sure.

summary ls harness in ej1 - need firewall side wire wire colors for vtec wires

 

look behind the ecu, look for a6 and d4, if i remember a6 is solenoid and d4 is oil pressure. whatever is in those pins are you vtec wires. and the other wire on the oil pressure is ground.

 

wasn't sure if the wires changed color from the ECU to firewall or not - knew they shouldn't

know the other was the ground. was just curious if anyone could answer quick before I started yanking that out and finding each quick

 

Vtec solinoid is orange with a white stripe from the ECU to the shock tower plug, turns into green with a yellow stripe on the other side of the plug. vtec pressure switch is orange with a blue stripe from the ECU to the shocktower plug, turns into blue on the other side of the shock tower plug.
