hey Quick Q's on the jdm front what latch did you guys use i put together a front and i need a hood latch and cord thanks

 

Why not just buy a JDM hood latch?

Because it doesn't work right on a usdm car.

I used a DA latch and cable and it works perfect.

 

well yea i was just trying ot see if o could use another one like a da one or something like that but if some one had t it localy i'll pick it up

Is that because a JDM radiator support wasn't used or does it still not fit with one installed?

Still doesnt fit with one installed. Sorry but I dont remember what the actual answer is.

 

If a JDM support was used, then JDM latch should be used. Though the cable on a USDM one needs to be the DA one, from what I have heard.

 

My JDM front end still had the JDM hood latch still attached and it worked fine. All we did was swap out of the cable for a DA cable.

The upper support? Can you even put a jdm front end on with a usdm support?

Yeah, you can, but its not gonna look pretty. There was a guy selling his JDM front teg on Drag some months back that used the USDM support and he mentioned that things didn't line up well.

Yes you can. A guy local to me has done it but it looks like poo poo because it has to be all hacked up to make it work.

hood latch and cable from a da works perfect, you can use the t support and make it look good just gotta take your time and make sure your measurements are good

 

thanks just to make thengs clear i have every thing from the ldm front i just got cf and frp parts but i have all the supports and what not i just wanted to know if i could use a da hood latch and cable thanks guys

 

yeah, the JDM cable won't work right..
