Default Clutch friction point extremely high.... what t do???

I just swapped in my b16a and changed the clutch and flywheel (hydro tranny)

clutch: Action 1MS
flywheel: Fidanza 7.5lbs.

Now i got to ride the car yesterday and the friction point on the clutch pedal is extremely high (almost gettijng off the pedal completely)

is there a way to adjust this or did i install something wrong?

Theres a little bar that connects your pedal and your clutch master cylinder, thats what you use to adjust your clutch engagement point. You have to flip upside down in the damn seat to get to the little bastard though.

stupid question but,

did you bleed out the clutch fluid to make sure there is no air bubbles?

Loosen the bolts.

Just look under there, you'll see how it works, the pedal just needs to be adjusted a little.

will that make the clutch engage when the pedal is half way to being fully extended rather than engaging when the pedal is fully extended? because what i want to do is not ajust the pedal hight... just the point on the pedal where the clutch will begin to grab

A side question regarding this, how much free play is typical between the top of the pedal's travel and when the clutch starts to disengage? I have about an inch or more of loose freeplay, but if I even place a tenth of a pound on the pedal as a weight it will register on the clutch's sensor (tested by seeing if it would turn cruise control off).

two totally different things, the cruise control along with starting the car is controlled by a switch which is actually engaged and disengaged by the pedal itself moving....they are talking about adjusting where the pedal rests but the amount of travel there is on the rod going to the master cylinder

^^Clearances of "free play" are listed in your Helms manual.

Yes, adjust the clutch engagement point...it's not for pedal height. Poke your head down there and you'll say what we're talking about.
