hey guys i cant figure this out. when im driving on the freeway in 5th gear my cars rpms are like 2500 or something, but it will jump to 2800 for like a second or down to 2200 but my foot will be steady so i KNOW that its not me. it only does this sometimes and only on the freeway...any help would be great,
as far as mods go, greddy intake, megan header, skunk2 exhuast. if that helps

my h22 was doing something similar to that, but it was more of a jerking type thing. very annoying, well it turned out to be my tps

 

try changing your dizzy

 

a new distributor is like $200 is there a way to CHECK it, what about the tps sensor, can you check that? i mean my car still runs great and gets 40+ mpg im just a perfectionist so the weird rpms bother me

 

i'm not sure if i quite understand what wierd rpms mean...is it jerking really bad when your just cruising along??? cuz thats what mine was doing

 

no no jerking, it still drive normal. the rpms will just jump higher or lower, kinda like a vacuum leak but i know that its not that because im in gear and moving.

 

Automatic or standard?
