Default RPM wont go down!

Right now my rpm stays at a constant 1500rpm.
It will be fine when cold and once the negine warms up, and i put the car in neutral like when going to a stop it just stays there at 1500rpm.

I tried to mess with the screw on the TB and it's all the way tight and cant go any further. No CEL also.

Voltage is fine also i checked it out <5v.

Its strange, lets say when you put the car in gear and drive, once you let your foot off the gas peddle you speed will surely decrease and then come to a stop.
But in my case i drive in 2nd at 30km/h and let my foot off, the car will just continue to roll at that speed and RPM,just like i am steping on the gas.
And my VAFC reads 0% throttle.

What gives?
Anyone encounter this before?

Did it just happen all of a sudden or did you adjust something/change a setting and then it began? Also, what car, engine, etc.

Idle sensor is the one behind the manifold right?
I bought a new one not too long ago,is there anything to adjust or check there?

And where is the PCV valve located?

pcv valve has a little hose running to it in between your manifold runners. it actually just looks like a rubber fitting

You mentioned you bored out the throttle body.

How did you do this ?

It could be there is too much air getting in when the butterfly is at theeidle angle ?

when u bored out the TB did u get a larger butterfly? There will be a gap around the butterfly thus letting more air in and making a higher idle

or maybe even your throttle cable . make sure it's not too tight.. since you just reinstalled your throttle body maybe you were in a hurry... just a thought

Sounds like a vaccum leak to me. There was a guy on here who had a vaccum leak, replaced a number of things in the IM to come to find out the IM itself was cracked in the back

It turns out is was in fact a vacumm hose that the shop forgot to attach that was causing the iddle to stay at 1500rpm.

But now after it was attached back,my problem of the rpm going up and down is still present.

RPM will drop to about 600rpm and then jumps back up to 1500rpm before going back down to 1000rpm iddle.
This happends every 30secs or so.

Damn i am sooo fedup...

Couple things you need to check:

Set your idle
1. let car warm up until radiator fan turns off
2. turn off engine, disconnect iacv sensor
3. adjust idle screw to 600rpm
4. reconnect iacv sensor connector
5. reset ecu
6. turn on engine and let ecu calibrate, DO NOT STEP ON THE GAS

Check your IACV if it is functioning correctly. Go get a Haynes manual or look for thread here on HT
Make sure that there is no air in your cooling system. Go get a Haynes manual or look for thread here on HT
