that happened to someone i know. the stud's splines were so stripped it would just spin with ease. the impact gun would just spin the stud and nut together. he ended up breaking the stud off. but hey, if it aint that stripped, impact gun might just do it.

idk if there is anyway to fix that besides buying a new hub assembly. I would think you can get it resplined or something alittle larger but then idk if the wheel would fit over it or if the lug which would be bigger would seat properly. Ive never done it so im not sure, it would be nice if someone else has done this could tell us the solution here.

i first tried loosening them by hand. didnt work so i went to the impact gun. same thing...they just spun.

well its either the studs splines are stripped or the ridges on the hub are stripped. it would be one or the other right?

but anyway how can i get these nuts off?

i didnt even think of that. Yea mostly likely its the stud splines( in the cases ive had of this it was the spines on the stud). Hopefully. If thats the case then your in luck.

Could u push it back alittle bit and get some vise grips on the back and then impact it ?

Same problem I have. I hope you don't have after-market wheels because the only way to get it off is to either torch the lug-nuts or take an air chisel and go at it. Then just get studs for like 2 bucks a pop from Pepboys or your local auto store and get them pressed in.

This is on the rear correct ? Look behind the hub you might be able to get something to hold it rather than doing anything else then get the gun on it.

Also if u have an impact gun you dont need to press them in. Plus pressing them would be hard since the studs are not in the center of the hub, im sure you could do it but an impact gun is much easier.

you could try welding the stud to the back of the hub just to take off the nut and then go buy a new stud
