Default Disabeling the day time running lights

I have an 08 Odyssey that has DRLs. I had recently changed the high beam and low beam stock halogen bulbs with Silverstars bulbs. I noticed on the high beam wich is also the drl ,the stock bulb was a little burned on the inside. I looked at the fuse panel and the drls run on one fuse only for them. Would it case any problem to take the fuse out and not have the drls on? Like I said its on its own fuse. I had taken it out and the only thing that happens is the letters "DRL" show up near the maintence light. Everything else works fine. I just dont want the expensive silverstar bulbs to burn out cause there always on even at a low wattage. Plus there a pain in the ball$ to change. What do you guys think?

honestly, swap them back to the oems, or swap them to the long life bulbs.

drls are a great safety feature, and definitely worth leaving running... because drls increase your visibly to OTHER drivers... and its better to be seen, than not to be seen.

silverstars, aren't worth the money anyway... HIR bulbs, thats a different story...

as for pulling the fuse, other than your warning light, i don't think there would be any other problem... as long as your highbeams still work, it'll be fine.
