I took mine in about 4 months ago. It took a couple of days of "trying to replicate the issue." They finally called me and said they couldn't replicate it.
I went in, showed them how I drive (they said my driving is near perfect, so it probably isn't driver error), and got very very lucky on the last turn - it happened, my 3rd gear would not go in.
They talked it over, and finally processed it. They ordered the parts... I waitied. and waited. Finally a few days later, they called me and said the parts were on back order - that I will have to wait for them to come in. I waited... and waited... finally this afternoon, I got a call. My parts are in! I'll be dropping it off tommorow!
So, be as cool as you can with the guys there. Don't make a big fuss to the techs there, make it clear you don't want a random repair for no reason. Let them see you drive, and cross your fingers!
Intake shouldn't be a problem - if they say it is, you may have to challenge them on it... but don't be confrontational. Nobody likes a dick, even if he's right.
I was quoted 2 days for the repair. I'll ask about a rental - and let you know.

thanks.. my parts already arrived too, i will dropped the car tomorrow morning and barely talk to them they will give me a car i could use but they didn't say what kind of car it is, i just hope it is as comfortable as my car. they will also replace my hfp side moldings because the glue or what ever they used to stick it on my car doesn't stick anymore.. and they are really serious about the costumer satisfaction survey, haha
