anyone install bilsteins?

Default anyone install bilsteins?

i want to lower the perch on my bilsteins and am having trouble figuring it out...

do i hit the perch down with a hammer and then take off the clip? also what tool would i use to remove that clip?

You hit the perch up, this will expose the clip. THen you can move it down, it can be done with a small screw driver or a tool thats designed for circlips.

Slide the perch towards the top of the shock to expose circlip. Don't see why any hitting would be involved. I use needlenose pliers to move the circlip from one groove to another.

It looks like you need to compress the spring a little more to get at the cirlcip.

well the reason i asked is because i hit it with a hammer and it wouldnt budge at all...i really dont feel like tearing it all apart...

soak it in WD40 or PB Blaster, wait few hours then using equal force try to push it up/ on it. you should be able to free it.

Only on some applications. I think the ITR and NSX Sport's have multiple perch grooves per shock. My Prelude application Sport's only had one.

im putting them on my 95 civic si...lol, didnt lower em at all...i didnt think it would cause of the weight difference...

i got all the perches down, however im dealing with more headaches...one of the lug nuts broke thanks to some ******* at pep boys over tightening that ****...

eibach pro kits. i didnt want to be slammed, id figure it would give me about an inch drop. maybe it lowered overnight lol...

i got my bilsteins used, so i had to hammer the perch to make it move. didn't take that much effort though
