supercharge a b16 del sol
i have a 2000 si b16 swapped into my del sol it has a fresh rebuild only 9000 miles on it with port and polish valve job pretty much built except for sleeves i have a blox raxcing intake manifold power chamber intake and full header back exhaust and 310cc injectors i wanna supercharge it cuz its safer then a turbo i just want sum opinons on this or any help about it
superchargers are ok...they make descent and reliable hp but it seems like on hondas they just dont cut it...just my opinion
*although there was a pretty nasty jrsc'd rsx on youtube but thats k-series

gunmetal....they really arent safer than a turbo?? i heard that they were but if you could explain it to me that would help me out....im all about learning new things
oh well obviously a bad tune on anything will fry a motor...i was just wondering what the cons were on a blower....i've heard nothing but good things(besides making more power with a turbo) with a blower....i heard it was safe and reliable....but than again its the same for a turbo...so really the pros and cons are the same with a blower and a turbo?
Turbocharge a 4 cylinder
Supercharge an 8 cylinder
Screw a 6 cylinder
Thats all i have to say
oh and BTW if your going with the JRSC you might as well spend the little bit more and buy an edlebrock kit

its because they spin counterclock wise and only a few blowers were made that spin counter clockwise. just like a small turbo can only make so much power the blowers are limited on power

They aren't safer than a turbo, no. Untuned, both a turbocharger and a supercharger have an equal chance of raping your motor.
If you're trying to learn things, I suggest A) You PM certain members, B) You google, and C) Don't post general questions here.
The pros and cons on a low displacement 4 cylinder engine are quite clear. The major upside is it raises your power throughout the entire power band, so it feels like you have a stronger motor in there, opposed to a turbo which gives you more power, but only mid-high up.
Superchargers give you a good feeling like you have a solid naturally aspirated application, that's all motor, while turbos make their peak HP at peak RPM, so you really gotta wind it out - down at low RPM they aren't even compressing.
