Default repeated starter failure

Hey guys, i own a 1990 CRX Si and I've had 3 reconditioned starters fail in a matter of months, the last within days. I finally just hotwired a starter to a button this last time because the problem was getting so bad. the battery conections are all good, i have exausted all possiable explinations as to why this is happening. I was hoping someone may have the answer. Such a simple problem has just gone to far and i think it is part of a bigger problem.
