Default problem with starter, need feedback

my 1992 honda civic si has a problem starting. at first, it was struggling to turn. now it just wont turn, and you'll hear this back to back clicking sound. i replace the starter with a use working starter, and it worked for couple starts, then it did the same thing like my old starter. what is the problem?

Do you know if your battery and/or alternator are/is fine? Create a jumper lead from the batteries positive post directly to the starter wire on the starter solenoid. It's the small wire with the female connecter on it.
