I'm looking at purchasing upper ball joints at rockauto. When I check the part number with other cars, I'm told that it's the same as the '94-'97 Accord. But when I check the ball joint through the Accord part number, it doesn't show it being compatable with the 4th gen lude.

So, would it be possible to put '94-'97 Accord ball joints on a '92 Prelude?

 

are the uppers even replacable ?

 

i believe you need to buy the whole upper control arm i dont think you can just buy the ball joint....i think their like 85 bucks a peice...read through this

All the autopart stores are telling me I can order upper ball joints. I'd have to either buy the press kit or go to the machine shop to press them in.

 

if thats the case, just get them pressed in by a machine shop...i wouldnt recommend doing it yourself

 

I think I might pay a few more bucks and buy a complete control arm.

Looks fine to me...don't know what brand it is, but the price and the seller's feedback sound good to me (too cheap would be a red flag IMO).
