what is the result of under torqing my head bolts

what is the result of over torqing my head bolts

if you under tight them they'll probably unloosen up which could cause a disaster

if you over tight them ur head can crack

thats what i think lol

if you over torque the head studs it will "squirt" the compression rings on the headgasket into your cylinders....get a haynes manual it has all the torque specs

i have a manuel but i do not have new head bolts and i need my car asap does anyone know how much old stock head bolts should be torqued at

CYLINDER HEAD BOLT TORQUE SPECS (tightening) / (loosening)
8, 4, 2, 6, 10 <---intake order 3, 7, 9, 5, 1
7, 3, 1, 5, 9 <---exhaust order 4, 8, 10, 6, 2

Torque in steps: 22ft-lbs (264in-lbs), Then to 63ft-lbs (756in-lbs) (final spec) 94+ Teg
Torque in steps: 22ft-lbs (264in-lbs), Then to 61ft-lbs (732in-lbs)(final spec) 90-93 Teg / B16's

You probably don't want to find out. Torque them to the right specs.

If you overtighten them you get mad extra vtaks...

If you look in the integra forum FAQ you can find the correct torque specs and you'll be fine... but if you want an answer to those two questions...

i am asking because i know that some have reused the stock ones and i know the other half use new i am trying to find out from someone who reused the stock ones how much the final torque was

I reused the stock ones and torqued them the same as if i had gotten new ones
