Default Back in Black - Yay, I can ride again!

So after putting my bike down riding in the canyons a little while back (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=23225079), I've finally got it back to being rideable again. The insurance company totalled the bike and offered to have me buy it back, which I did. Damage was mostly cosmetic save for the frame sliders and case covers, so I got to work right away searching for new fairings.

I lucked out and Duy (JasperDB1) found a CL seller with a set of Catalyst Composites race bodywork for my bike for a real deal. For a mere $250 I scored a race upper w/headlight hole cut out, 2 race lowers, a double bubble screen, Dzus fasteners, extra ram air covers/tubes, extra headlights, and a headlight wiring harness w/ bank angle sensor. Needless to say, I scored.

I also bought a Yoshimura Ti RS-5 full exhaust, Power Commander III USB, and an Arai Corsair Tommy Gun to replace my old HJC that was damaged in the crash. With the help of some friends over this weekend, we got everything put on and I was able to give it a test ride. I rode the very same road I went down on a month ago, was a little creepy but I played it real safe.

Oh, and a 520 DID chain with new Vortex sprockets (-1 +2) are in the mail. Just in time for Buttonwillow this weekend

Alright! It's always a bit sketch at first after going down, but you'll get the feeling back soon.

Thanks guys, I'm really stoked. I'll be taking it easy and hoping this weekend will be a chance to get my groove back.

Haha...ARRrRRrrggg! A pirate? I'll take it.

Oh and I'm gunna run C group for the first session or two and then go to B. As you know, TrackDaz is pretty cool about moving between groups

It's going to be mainly track duty, but I'm keeping the headlight hole and taillight for the weekend cruises through the canyons. I do believe my days of hard canyon riding are over. Too many risks.

Greg lemme know if I can help out with anything with your fixings. I've got a few spare parts and I wrestled with this bodywork a little to make it fit perfectly
