What defines a "knockoff" Carbon fiber hood?
CF Vinyl wrapped, like the green Eclipse was in the F&F?
Or, you just mean the cheapest possible true CF hood?
Going cheap isn't going to solve your problem. It may temporarily fix it, but with it being cheap, it's going to fade prematurely resulting in yet, another doo doo looking hood. Save your money, buy quality parts.
VIS and Seibon are reputable. I've owned 2 VIS myself and have no complaints.
Unless you just HAVE to have a cf hood, why not get whatever's wrong with your hood fixed or replaced?

I think hes not happy with the fitment of his aftermarket hood. It sounds like hes not gunna be satisfied til he has a cf hood so he might as well go for it! I'm not a big fan of cf on black cars tho.
i really dont care of the c/f hood its just that i don't want to spend a lot of money on painting the hood.
also it seem like it doesn't fit right too.
might be my hinge that is [freak] up because i was in a fender bender.

Like I said, you'll spend more on a CF hood than you will on good paint. And yes, the accident is probably why you have fitment issues with your hood.
go to http://www.certifit.com they have hoods for really cheap and the fitment is nice. The only thing is, they dont ship, you have to go to one of their stores and pick it up. we bought a new hood for my girlfriends accord and it was only $65 dollars.
