Default vtec not working any ideas

yea my 94 accord 2dr ex vtec isnt working also itz got a really bad idle and ideas

Check your wiring harness.

The term "rough idle" is really a pet peeve of mine. THat has scuh a wide deffinition and it such an ocward vehicle diagnostic.
Some suggestions:
-Dirty cat
-Bad 02
-Bad Spark Plugs and/or Wires
-Dirty Oil (maybe)

What leads you to believe the Vtec solenoid is not operating?

Have you checked for stored codes?

Has any main't ever been done to the car?

I recomended checking the wiring harness, not the sylanoid.
